Open Minecraft → Multiplayer → Add Server, paste it in, and join.

You can only see things that work with your server. Anything built for a different mod loader or a different Minecraft version is hidden, and we check again before installing — so you can’t break your server by picking the wrong one.

Installed

Keep my mods up to date automatically. Once a day we check for newer versions that work with your Minecraft version, take a backup first, then update them. New versions load the next time your server restarts.

For mods and plugins that aren’t on Modrinth. We check the file really is a plugin, then put it straight into your mods folder. Restart your server afterwards to load it. A file with the same name replaces the one already there — rename it first if you want to keep both.

Anything you upload runs on your server with your server’s permissions. We can’t tell whether a file does what its author says it does — only install things you trust.

Backups

Make one before you try something risky. You can download any backup and keep your own copy.

Build a plugin beta

This service is new. Every plugin is written, security-checked and load-tested by us, and a person reads the code and installs it — but the service itself is in beta. If it isn't right, tell us and we'll fix it.

Describe what you want in plain English. We write it, test it on a server running your exact Minecraft version, and install it for you. You never touch a file.

What should it do? The more specific, the better the result. Mention command names if you have them in mind. Who should be able to change things? Commands that only affect the player using them stay available to everyone either way.

Players

Player slots How many people can be on at once. This is just the limit shown to players — how many your server can actually hold comfortably depends on its RAM and what you're running.

How your server looks

Server name Just for you — this is the name at the top of this page and in your server list. Description (MOTD) The line players see under your server in Minecraft’s multiplayer list. Colour codes work.

Minecraft version updates Update my server when a new Minecraft version is released We take a backup first and update overnight. Only do this on a plain server. A new Minecraft release breaks most mods and plugins until their authors update them, so if you run any, leave this off and update when you're ready.

No icon

A square PNG, 64×64. Bigger squares are fine — we’ll shrink it.

Players see a new description and icon the next time your server restarts.

Your address

What players type to join. Your old address keeps working for a week after you change it, so there’s time to tell everyone.

Letters, numbers and hyphens. Players on phones and consoles keep the same port — only the address changes.

Wiping a world cannot be undone, so it lives on its own tab with a confirmation rather than next to the buttons you use every day.

Files

Only edit files if you know what you are doing. We are not responsible for any server crashes or lost worlds caused by changes you make here. Make a backup before you edit anything — it takes one click on the tab and it is the difference between a bad afternoon and a lost world.

Your server is running. Changes to config files are read when it starts, so most edits won’t take effect until you restart — and a file the server is writing to right now can overwrite what you save.

Server software Minecraft version

Mods don’t move between loaders. A Fabric mod will not run on Forge or NeoForge, and the other way round. If you switch loader, your installed mods stop working and you’ll need to add the versions built for the new one — we’ll only show you those.

Upgrading is safe. Going down to an older version can break a world that has already been opened in a newer one, so we take a backup automatically first.

Automation

Jobs your server runs on its own, so you don’t have to remember. Turn one on and it keeps running until you turn it off.

Start fresh

Start your world again from scratch. This is permanent once it finishes, so we ask you to type your server’s name first.

We take a backup first, every time. You don’t have to remember, and you can’t turn it off. If you change your mind afterwards, restore it from the Backups tab. We’d rather keep a backup you never use than lose a world you wanted.

New world

Generates a fresh world with a new seed. Your mods, plugins, settings, server name, address and player permissions all stay exactly as they are.

Deleted: the world, everything built in it, player inventories and ender chests.

Only trying to clear out mobs or reclaim space? You probably want a specific fix rather than a wipe — ask us first and we’ll tell you if there’s a smaller way to get what you want.
